Edit a PDF without uploading it
Editing usually means uploading a document to a website and trusting it with the contents. PataPage works the other way round. The editor runs in your browser and your PDF stays on your device from the first click to the last. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you edit.
What you can add to a PDF
Use Text to type anywhere on a page, choosing the size, color and bold. Highlight marks lines in yellow, green, pink or blue. Rectangle and Ellipse draw boxes and circles, with or without a fill. Draw lets you sketch freehand with a mouse, pen or finger. Image places a logo or photo, and Cover up drops a white box over something you want to hide.
Everything you add can be moved, resized and deleted. Undo and redo are always there, and the usual keys work: arrows to nudge, Delete to remove, Enter to edit text.
How to add text to a PDF
Choose the Text tool, click where the words should go and start typing. Click away when you are done. To change something later, select it and use the controls above the page. This is also the quickest way to fill in a form that is not fillable: type your answers right on top of the lines.
Good to know
This editor adds to a page. It does not rewrite the text that is already part of the document. If you need to change original wording, use the program that created the file. A Cover up box hides content from view but does not remove it, so do not use it to censor sensitive information. The text underneath is still in the file. Text in any language works. When you are done, you can add page numbers, compress the file or protect it with a password.
